Pastor Roger recently spoke at a regional retreat for pastors and leaders. He asks that we pray that this event would bear fruit through these leaders all over Brazil. He also asks for prayer for several outreach ministries. First, Brazilians celebrate Kid’s Day on October 12, and the church used this as an opportunity to share the gospel at a kid’s event. Two children professed Christ from this; pray for them both. Second, Roger’s church puts on an event called Jornada de Natal (Journey to Christmas), which tells the redemptive story in the context of the birth of Christ. Third, the church is participating in something called the Andrew project, a special outreach project where they are seeking to reach more people with the gospel.
How to pray
Pray that God would use the church’s evangelism to save sinners.
Pray that God would allow Crystal to have an effective ministry with the kids and women in the church.
Pray that Pastor Roger would have strength and patience to continue enduring his Parkinson’s symptoms.
Pray for the leadership in Aracaju and Gloria:
Pastor Roger Johansen.
Pastor Eriomar Maia.
Pastor Marcos.

Premend Choy recently shared more about his plans as he steps back from his responsibilities at Fiji BIble College. After prayer and counsel with many trusted advisors, the Choys have decided to relocate to Gilroy, California for the time being. This will allow Premend to prioritize his health, get the best care possible, and continue working on his PhD. He will be serving as a missionary in residence at Trinity Bible Church in Morgan Hill, California. After completing his PhD, Premend desires to move his family back to Fiji in 2027. At that time, he plans to focus on church planting on the island.

Pastor Brian and Danyel recently traveled to Texas to attend this year’s ACBC Conference, where Pastor Brian was honored by being acknowledged as a new ACBC Supervising and Teaching Fellow. He has been working towards this goal for some time and is excited to continue using this platform to counsel people and train other counselors to do the same. Danyel traveled to Kansas to share at a Shepherd’s Wives conference. She has also begun meeting online with Emma Johansen, who is preparing to go to Mozambique with her husband Joshua in the future.
The Warnes are currently on a trip to multiple Central American countries, including Costa Rica and Honduras, where Pastor Brian will be preaching in churches and teaching a two-week intensive course at a seminary. Pray that God would give the Warnes energy on this trip and that he would provide fruit from their labors.
Recently, Redemption Hill had the opportunity to send funds to assist in the ministry in Mexico. As we have done for the last two years, we are continuing to provide the rent for the church building of Iglesia Biblica Redencion in Los Mochis, desiring that the ministry there would continue to flourish and grow. We are also sending money to help fund Pastor Tony de la Cruz, one of Pastor Brian’s co-pastors in Sinaloa. Additionally, we have provided funds to enable the church to add a small building to have classrooms for Sunday School at the church in Mochicahui. We are thrilled to be able to partner with the ministry in Mexico and we pray that God would use these gifts for his glory!
How to pray
Pray that God would continue to use Pastor Brian as a Fellow at ACBC.
Pray that God would bless the Warnes on their trip to Honduras and Costa Rica.
Pray that God would grow and bless Iglesia Biblica Redencion.
Pray that God would continue to strengthen and grow the churches in Sinaloa.
Pray for Pastor Brian as he trains and equips church leaders in Mexico, Honduras, and Peru both virtually and in person.
Pray for Danyel as she joins her husband Brian in serving in various capacities in the church plant.
