Brazil

Pastor Roger shared the following in a recent newsletter:

Prayer is wonderful work! Thank you for the hard labor of prayer. Colossians 4:2 reminds us to be persistent in prayer about the gospel ministry. As we reflect on our life in Christ, God has given us many relatives, friends, neighbors, and contacts to pray for. There is a lot to pray about. So keep up your prayers for the gospel ministry in Brazil. Pray for hearts to be drawn to our Savior. Pray for our church people to reproduce. Pray for Sergio's salvation. Pray for Aderson's salvation. Pray for Camila and Monica's salvation. Pray for the new church plant in Gloria to grow. Pray for more open doors to the gospel. We have our youth's mission trip to southern Brazil coming quickly. Pray for our youth to grow and be fruitful. Pray for safety and travel mercies. Pray for the local church and leadership in southern Brazil to be encouraged.

Though he didn’t mention it in his newsletter, we can also pray for Roger’s health as he lives with Parkinson’s symptoms. He will likely be dealing with this for the rest of his life, so pray that he would respond well to it both physically and spiritually, trusting God through the trial.

FIJI

A team from Shepherd’s House Bible Church recently visited Fiji and helped conduct a VBS and a youth camp. Dr. Narayan praises God that over 160 students attended each event, far beyond the number they were expecting. Four young people trusted in Christ at the youth camp. Additionally, through the ministry of the local church, 10 people have placed their faith in Christ and were baptized on April 27. And at a children’s camp, God saved 14 more children. Praise God for his work of salvation!

Premend Choy shared an update regarding his recovery from his cardiac arrest. He is progressing better than expected and his cardiologist told him that his rate of recovery was uncommon. Praise God! He does not show signs of brain damage and may be able to preach, teach, and travel soon, though he plans to return to these types of things cautiously. He is grateful for our prayers in the recent weeks and months. Below you can watch a video from Premend where he speaks about his experience.

Pastor JD and Dan Rudman head to Fiji and Vanuatu on June 25 to preach and teach. They will speak in churches and teach a class for a group of pastors from various islands in the Pacific that will help them study and understand the Bible.
